§01

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the ATAS (Alliance for Transformative AI Systems) platform and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of our services immediately. ATAS reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of such modifications.

Our Services

ATAS provides cutting-edge AI research, development tools, educational resources, and consulting services focused on transformative artificial intelligence systems.

Included, without limitation

  • AI model development
  • Research collaboration
  • Technical training programs
  • AI solutions consultancy

All services are provided in accordance with international AI ethics standards and Rwanda’s technology regulations.

§03

User Obligations

Users must use ATAS services lawfully and ethically. You agree not to:

  • Use our services to develop harmful AI systems
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Attempt unauthorized access to our systems
  • Share access credentials with unauthorized parties

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activities under it.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in ATAS platforms, including software, documentation, datasets, models, and research outputs, belong to ATAS or its licensors. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.

Open-source components are governed by their respective licenses. Research collaborations follow separate IP agreements that will be clearly defined in partnership contracts.

Data & Privacy

ATAS is committed to protecting your privacy and handling data responsibly. We collect and process data in accordance with Rwanda’s data protection laws and international best practices.

  • Research data is anonymized and aggregated
  • Personal information is never shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law
  • Users have the right to access, correct, or delete their personal data at any time

Research Ethics

All ATAS research adheres to strict ethical guidelines and undergoes review by our Ethics Committee. Research involving human subjects requires informed consent.

We maintain transparency in AI model development and are committed to beneficial AI that serves humanity.

Users participating in research programs grant ATAS rights to publish findings in anonymized formats while protecting individual privacy.

§07

Limitation of Liability

ATAS provides services “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. ATAS shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim. This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by law.

§08

Termination

ATAS may suspend or terminate access to services at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason, with or without notice. Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you cease immediately.

You may terminate your account by contacting us at privacy@atas.rw. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

§09

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Rwandan courts. For international users, local laws may also apply.

ATAS operates in compliance with both Rwandan technology regulations and international AI governance frameworks.
